Professional Concrete Removal in Gallatin
Concrete in Middle Tennessee cracks, heaves and settles over time because of clay soil and freeze-thaw cycles. When cracks get wide or slabs tilt and become a tripping hazard, the fix is removal and replacement, and removal is heavy, dusty work that needs the right tools.
We remove driveways, patios, sidewalks, shed and garage slabs, porch steps, pool decks, footings and small retaining walls. We break the concrete into manageable pieces, load it out and take it to a recycler, where it's crushed and reused as base material whenever possible.
How Your Concrete Removal Project Works

We'll want the approximate size and thickness, whether it has rebar or mesh, and how close a truck or trailer can get. Photos are a great start.
Mark and cut
Tennessee 811 marks any buried utilities first if we're going deep. If you're keeping part of the slab, we saw-cut a straight, clean line.
Breaking
Concrete is broken into pieces with jackhammers or machine-mounted breakers. We protect nearby windows, cars and siding from flying chips.
Removal
Pieces are loaded and hauled away. Rebar and mesh are cut out and recycled as scrap metal.
Finish
We rake out the area and leave it rough-graded and ready for your concrete, paver or landscape contractor.
How to Prepare
- Move vehicles, planters and furniture off and away from the concrete
- Tell us about sprinkler heads, lighting or drains in or near the slab
- Let us know what's going in next so we can leave the right grade
- Close nearby windows, since breaking concrete is dusty
What Affects the Price
Concrete removal is mostly priced by square footage and thickness. Rebar or wire mesh, how far we have to carry the material, whether a machine can reach it, and disposal fees all affect the price. Thicker driveway concrete with rebar takes much more work than a thin sidewalk.
Concrete Removal FAQ
Is it loud and dusty?
Breaking concrete is loud. We use water to keep dust down where possible, and we work during normal daytime hours.
Can you remove just a section of my driveway?
Yes. We saw-cut a clean edge so the remaining concrete looks neat and your contractor can pour right up to it.
What happens to the old concrete?
Whenever possible, it goes to a concrete recycler where it's crushed into base gravel instead of going to the landfill.
